Yes, accommodation packages include meals at the hotel. The hotel caters for a wide range of dietary needs — vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free / coeliac, and other allergies can all be accommodated. Albania is one of the most affordable destinations in Europe. Meals at local restaurants, taxis, and everyday items are significantly cheaper than in Western Europe or the US. Most of your core costs (accommodation and meals) are covered by the conference package — you’ll mainly need spending money for coffees, excursions, and souvenirs.

Yes. The resort has direct access to a private beach, and the surrounding Golem area is a well-established tourist destination that is considered safe for walking. Durrës itself is a welcoming city; as with any destination, use normal travel common sense, particularly after dark. Taxis and ride-hailing apps are readily available.

The Grand Blue Fafa Resort offers accessible rooms and step-free access to the main conference areas. If you have specific mobility or accessibility requirements — including wheelchair-accessible rooms — please let us know when registering so we can request the right accommodation.

Golem and the wider Durrës coast have a broad range of hotels, from boutique beachfront options to larger international chains. If you’d like to extend your stay, we’re happy to share suggestions closer to the event. You can also book extra nights directly with the Grand Blue Fafa Resort, subject to availability.

Family members are also warmly invited to attend and join in times of prayer and discussion. For younger family members, there will be organised activities available. The venue also offers a private beach and designated play areas for children, who must be supervised at all times.

If you would like to enquire about funding, please note that this is not automatically granted. You will need to discuss your situation with your Area Director. Where funding is available, it will be allocated on a case-by-case basis.

We understand that it’s not possible for everyone to attend in-person, and we will make all the main parts of the agenda available on Zoom. However, we’d encourage if possible in-person attendance, as the quality of interaction, as you will know, is far superior.
